In a break from its traditional black-tie optional annual celebration, the Downtown Development Association of Lincolnton, Inc. is transforming the former Lincoln Drug building, 132 East Main Street, into a sports bar for the 2009 Main Street Gala & Better Downtown Awards. This one-night-only event will be held on Friday, March 13th to coincide with the ACC Basketball Tournament.
Wampum Landmark Tavern will boast 6 large screen TVs (all broadcasting the ACC tournament), local and collegiate sports memorabilia, food, and beer and wine. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and everyone is invited to attend; however, RSVPs are required. The event's $25 cover charge includes dinner and drinks.
